Events Settings
The Settings tab lets you monitor your event usage quota and configure alerts to stay ahead of consumption limits.
To access it, select Events from the sidebar and click on the Settings tab.
Usage Quota
The usage quota section shows your current event consumption against your monthly quota:
- Events consumed — The total number of events used in the current billing month, shown as both a count and a percentage of your quota
- Quota forecast — If your current consumption rate is on track to exceed the quota, a warning will be displayed with an estimate of when you will reach the limit
The quota resets automatically at the start of every calendar month.
Usage Alerts
Usage alerts notify your team when event consumption reaches specific percentage thresholds of your monthly quota. This helps you take action before hitting your limit whether that means investigating unexpected spikes or planning for additional capacity. Alerts are sent as in-platform notifications so make sure to keep an eye on your notification center and encourage your team to do the same.
Creating an Alert
- Set the threshold percentage using the input field (e.g. 75% of quota)
- Click Add alert
- Add one or more recipients who should be notified when the threshold is reached
Managing Alerts
Each alert can be:
- Enabled or disabled using the toggle switch — disabled alerts are kept but won't trigger notifications
- Deleted using the remove button if no longer needed
- Updated by adding or removing recipients at any time
Set up multiple alerts at different thresholds (e.g. 25%, 50%, 75%, 90%) to get early warnings as consumption increases throughout the month.
